WHY insulate your walls?

“Insulating your home is the most cost effective way of improving it’s energy efficiency rating and reducing energy bills. With energy prices rising, insulation is becoming more and more important to prevent expensive heat loss.”

Internal Wall Insulation (IWI) can be installed with minimal disruption, costs less to install and does not require scaffolding during the installation process. IWI also maintains the appearance of your building as it is installed internally.

Installing internal wall insulation also has the added benefit of reducing the CO2 emissions associated with your home by approximately two tonnes* per annum for the lifetime of the property.

Insulating a solid wall home properly can add to a home’s market value by significantly improving its Energy Efficiency Rating. Internal Wall Insulation can improve the interior décor and appearance of a property.

What is the SWIP IWI system?

SWIP is a quick and easy to install wall insulation system designed to thermally upgrade solid and hard-to-treat masonry external walls. It is comprised of insulated composite studs and high performance, water repellent glass mineral wool insulation manufactured with ECOSE® Technology.

ECOSE® Technology

A revolutionary, new, formaldehyde freebinder technology, based on rapidly renewable materials instead of petro-based chemicals. This means the system is much more ECO-friendly as it reduces embodied energy and delivers superior environmental sustainability.

Significant Savings

Installing solid wall insulation can reduce your energy bills by up to 50%. It prevents the heat escaping through your external walls and helps you maintain a comfortable temperature in your home for less.

Energy bills are rising steeply and if your walls are not insulated you are paying more than is necessary to heat your home.

Straightforward Installation

Installing Solid wall insulation is a straightforward process which can usually be done in a day or two. All fixtures and fittings are removed and refitted / replaced by professionals.

Zero maintenance

There should be no maintenance needed to ensure the SWIP Internal Wall Insulation System delivers energy savings for the life of your property.

SWIP Solid Wall Insulation

Can be fastened to existing masonary or plastered walls.

The insulation is then fitted and covered with a new plasterboard and skimmed for a perfect paint-ready finish.

The Energy Company Obligation

The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a government energy efficiency scheme in Great Britain which aims to help reduce carbon emissions and tackle fuel poverty.

The scheme began in April 2013, and over time it has been amended. The latest policy, ECO3, commenced on 3 December 2018, and applies to measures completed from 1 October 2018.

Under ECO3, obligated suppliers must provide funding for measures which improve the ability of low income, fuel poor and vulnerable households to heat their homes.

This includes grant funding for actions that result in heating savings, such as cavity wall insulation, solid wall insulation and loft insulation.
